This summer, she received both the Walden Award for Interfaith and Intercultural Understanding and had a day named in her honor in her home county in Florida.

She has inspired Jamaica’s corporate, governmental and educational sectors as a keynote speaker and motivational trainer/coach addressing such audiences as HEART, Ministry of Health, Sagicor, Guardian Life, JMMB, E-Learning and in the area of education she has trained principals and teachers assigned to rural schools in Jamaica; done outreach work with groups such as Ashe and delivered keynote addresses at various prep and high schools in Jamaica as well as at Moneague College.

She defied the odds in 1986 when medical doctors assured her that she had only 6 days to live. A former Assistant Attorney General, and Assistant Broward County Attorney, she inspires her audiences with lessons on Love, Self Motivation, Leadership and Healthy Living in England, Spain, Jamaica, Bahamas, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, South and North America and in settings such as retreats, lectures, seminars and conferences.

A 2001 Inductee into the Martin Luther King Jr. International Board of Preachers, she earned degrees from Florida State University, Florida International University and Nova University.

No stranger to writing articles in the local and international press, she authored the book, Twelve Steps to Your Healing.  Her favorite scripture is Psalm 46:10 –‘Be still and Know that I am God.’
